Confederated Helicopter Air Medical Professionals (CHAMP) advocates for the safety of helicopter EMS (HEMS) medical professionals and their patients.
HEMS is the most hazardous medical mission in the world. Rotor wing medical professionals are 5 times more likely than law enforcement officers, and 50 times more likely than firefighters, to die in the line of duty.
CHAMP advocates for HEMS safety through education, policy, regulatory, and political processes to enact effective and defensible operational and accreditation standards for HEMS professionals, training, and providers.
