Can anyone run for the national board election?
Yes, within the following anticipated board member qualifications and composition, to be finalized by the interim board:
– A majority are anticipated to be active HEMS medical crew members.
– A minority will be pilots, physicians, educators, risk managers, and injury prevention specialists.
Does CHAMP need donations?
Yes, please see “Donors” for information on donations and deductibility.
Where does the money go?
Proceeds go to infrastructure development and the CHAMP advocacy platform. No one at CHAMP gets paid. All expenditures are approved by the board and require the signature of two officers.
Is CHAMP a union?
CHAMP is not a labor union. In accordance with IRC 501(c)4, CHAMP cannot participate in collective bargaining. CHAMP supports collective bargaining when necessary to secure needed reforms, and can assist with advocacy and model contract provisions and language.
