Reporting and Retaliation

Champions in Safety. Champions in Care.

ALL retaliation against HEMS professionals learning about risk, learning about safety responsibility, and acting to improve HEMS safety is unlawful.  And the abundant protections to correct against retaliation are generally free of charge and readily accessible.

In fact, merely by visiting this site, you’ve engaged in concerted activity, protected against retaliation by the NLRB.

But with power comes responsibility.  Succumbing to fear of retaliation, and retreating to inaction, is not merely irresponsible; it’s DANGEROUS.  And the HEMS crew suffering from your failure to learn, report, or act is likely to be on another shift, or at another base, or working for another service, or even in another country.

We are all complicit in the deaths of our colleagues when we choose silence and inaction in the face of reportable and actionable hazard.
